Good one, Mike!

Now I understand the connection.

I laughed; I smiled; I was able to breathe deeply for a while.

I met a “wandering traveller” last year.

Poet, preacher, mystic and prophet. Randel never found a home in any dogam or doctrine.

“Man, just take up surfing!” he used to say.

I found it absurd, yet strangely compelling.

Is that kind of freedome really possible?

He hated hypocrites; he spoke the truth plainly.

“All those other planets floating up there are various stages of hell. As if that were not enough, we had to go and put satellites up there too!”.

When I got hooked on TBN:

“I guess all those preachers imagine Jesus has a flat-screen tv in heaven and just sits there watching them preach !”

Laughter had been missing from my life for a long time. Not just idle laughter, stupid jokes- but the kind that comes from recogntition of our human foibles, rememberance of truth and respect for all God created whole and perfect.

I’m slowly re-dsicovering good, wholesome laughter. Thank you for being a part of that.

Oh so funny you ask, Tabitha! I just read your other poem… the one reflecting the time of fasting and I was thinking “I need to comment, I really like this…” and all of your other reflections. They are in-sightful and true to the heart. This video was my 'favorite' yet. I felt the same… like it was so simple and to the point and I could feel it through and through ) I liked the depiction of being in the dark and the calm that comes in recognition of the light Within.
