Prayer
Article by Michael Christ | Filed Under Prayer
Any thought extended from the mind is an action of prayer. All thoughts extended have a reciprocal return in which the Being who extended the thought receives, in some form, a manifest-ion of what the prayer envisioned. Visions/prayers that include the idea of lack return the lack, as lack is what is seen in the vision/prayer. Visions/prayers that see the reality of what is consciously intended return and manifest the reality, as the vision is the path of action taken.
The Being whose mind is free from limitation extends only non-limitation. In such an extension from a free mind, the prayer is focused only on the extension of what is True and Real, as limitation is a figment of illusion. The only limits that seem to exist are the limits that are seen by the Being who sees the limits.
Prayer occurs universally, as prayer is the function through which Reality creates itself. A Being who operates in the function of prayer is a Being through which Reality is extended. Extending only the Truth flowing through as the Love of All is the unconditional expression of Life. The only conditions placed on that expression are the conditions envisioned and prayed for by the Being who prays for them. Seeing only Love extends only Love. Seeing only Love is Praying in line with the function of Reality, for Reality’s unconditional extension of Love into the domain of conscious experience is the only Truth that can ever be extended. Any intention to not extend Reality is an intention founded in the deceit of illusion where confusion dominates the domain of conscious experience. In either case, prayer is the function through which intention is extended.

Begin This Journey With Love
…a story to illustrate
“Have you ever heard the phrase, ‘ask and you shall receive,’” Michael typed on the keyboard as he watched the words appear on the screen. “Apparently that’s what Jesus taught all those centuries ago, now you see all this stuff about the Law of Attraction, and it’s really the same concept.
“And if all that is true, if all you really have to do is ask and you receive, and you attract what you magnetize with your thought, then why do people allow suffering into their lives?”
“Another way to put it, if you’re receiving suffering, then why are you asking for it? And if you’re attracting things you don’t want, then why are you magnetizing those things into your experience?”
Michael stopped typing for a second, he scratched his head, and thought I wonder what a person who is in obvious suffering would think if they read that last statement? Would they deny that they are the cause of what they are experiencing?… ah denial, what a misery…
“If you come to think about it, a lot of people pray, in fact, everyone prays; even if they think they do or not. Prayer is nothing more than thought.
“Think about the last time you prayed, if you choose to do that sort of thing, what did you use to pray? I betcha, that no matter what you prayed about, your prayer itself was in the form of a thought. Take the Lord’s Prayer for instance, ‘Our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name,’ and so on… when you pray it, your thinking it, and perhaps even visualizing it, ‘Our father… who art in heaven… hallowed be thy name…’
Stopping to contemplate, Michael tugged on the tips of his hair. Remembering something his mother once said to him about the power of thought, he looked for a way to integrate it into what he was writing.
“Let me give you an example of all this. There is a Being that is expressing through a female form, who once drove an old pickup truck. She drove this truck for around 15 years. During those 15 years she would often tell her self, and others, that she would drive it until the engine blew up. Then one fine day as she was hauling a horse trailer, she heard the truck make a noise she knew wasn’t right. The truck began to slow so she pulled over to the side of the road. Before she knew it, the truck was engulfed in flames. Thankfully she made it out before the female form went up in flames as well.
“After the commotion subsided and upon closer inspection, it was found that the engine threw a rod through the engine block nicking a fuel line which in turn ignited the gasoline and instantly it moved to the fuel tank igniting the truck in a blazing fire.
“Since that day, she has often spoken of this incident and how the lesson learned in being conscious of what is said, for ‘speaking my reality into existence’ is no joke. ‘For years,’ she said, ‘I would say I was gonna drive my truck until the engine went. Well, it went, and when it went, it took the whole truck with it.’
“The moral of the story is, we do receive what we ask for. The key is to be aware of what we are asking for, and ask for only that which we consciously intend, for if we are not conscious of our intentions, we may well be asking for suffering and know it not.”
You know, Michael thought to himself, that leads in perfectly to fasting , as fasting is all about cultivating awareness .

Into Prayer
What is thought?
“Uh, I don’t know, I never really thought about it.”
Really, what is thought?
As you sit there and attempt to answer that question, concern yourself not with what thought is, but what thought does.
When you think, you see in pictures – a mental image.
But before we continue, let’s test this theory…
Think of something, anything, really, it can be anything…
What do you see? Whatever it is that you see is a mental image, a picture.
Now, when you pray, what do you pray about?
Whatever it is, when you pray, you see the picture of it. If you don’t see the picture, then you’re probably feeling a feeling. If neither of those two, then there really isn’t much power behind the prayer.
Regardless of what it is your prayers are about; prayer itself is that which leads action, for it is what you see and feel.
What you see is the path of action you follow, what you feel is that prayer manifesting into your experience.
Consider Re-reading that last sentence…
When you are in thought, you are in prayer. There is no distinction between the two. You receive what you pray for always… it can be no other way…
What you must become aware of are the thoughts that are creating the reality that you experience.
You may be saying that we as humans cannot create reality… if you’re not saying this, then okay, whatever.
If you are, take a moment to look at the reality of the computer sitting before you. How did this machine come into your reality that you are experiencing right now?
It first started as and idea, a thought in someone’s mind. It is now, however, an experiential reality before your eyes.
So, what are you praying for?
