Mindfulness Meditation

You Are Beginning To See
Being aware…
Being conscious…
Being full of awareness in the consciousness of mind…
Being mindful…
There is only one way to be mindful, and to do this, you must become the observer AND the observed, for you are watching no-thing other than your own mind.
Even now as you read, you are watching nothing other than your own mind process these words through your mental matrix, and the interpretation you are seeing is the interpretation that the mental matrix of your beliefs sends back to you. And all of this is most often done under your conscious awareness. Except now, you are beginning to see your thoughts stream through your mind as you read these words.
As you read them, you are streaming the concepts through your mind and the thoughts you are “hearing” in your mind are none but your own.
Do you see them? The thoughts?
Observe
Read this paragraph, and as you do, observe your mind stream the words through as thought. In reading these words, it is easy to think that you are not the one thinking them, as you are not the one who wrote them. However, in order to read them you must engage your mind in the activity. When you engage your mind, you do so in thought.
Being mindful is to bring this activity into your conscious awareness.
As you watch your thoughts stream through your mind you are seeing a thought stream. Thought streams all invariably arise from a thought form — a mental construct, such as a belief, idea, image, concept, etc.
Thought forms give rise to thoughts streams, and this dynamic is thought function. The totality of this functioning within your mind is the structure through which the energy that is thought moves through to illuminate the destiny your thoughts are revealing to you.
Emotions and feelings are a symptomatic within the bio-mechanical system that is the body, reacting to the directives it is being given. Those directives are the thoughts and overall thought structure that are programmed into your mind. The thoughts can then be seen as the cause whereas the emotions and feelings can be seen as the effects.
All thoughts are a cause, and all causes have residual effects. The effects that you experience in your life all arise from the thought structure you have made in your mind. The thoughts that dominate your mental function either emanate from that thought structure that you have made, or from the thought structure that is Truth.
Truth Gives Rise
Truth is that which gives rise to you, to your awareness. Truth gives rise to the capacity of thought function. Without truth, there is no foundation for thought to exist in the first place. The stream of mystic consciousness that is flowing Now is the the thought stream emanating from Truth which in turn gives rise to you Now in this moment.
The thoughts that you choose to stream through your mind either are in tune with that fundamental stream of Truth or they are opposed to it, there is no middle ground, for all thought has an effect. There is no neutrality of thought, for thought moves you into Life, or clouds your mind in the illusion of death.
The degree to which you see the relevance of Life within you is the degree to which you have released the cloud in your mind that is the thought structure of illusion. As you journey within, you remove that thought structure of illusion to see the Truth residing unabated in the eternal depths of your soul.
As you realize this Truth to be who you are, you step more fully into the freedom it bestows. Once you have fully accepted in your mind the Reality of who you are, you then see it in everyone and everything, for it is the Unity that gives rise to all that you perceive.
Technique:
NOTE: This technique has no specific outcome, it is simply a means of recognizing.
Apply this meditation whenever you feel compelled to. You need not be doing anything specific. In fact, you can apply it to any situation you may find yourself engaged in.
As you are engaged in activity, whatever it may be, become aware of the stream of thought running through your mind. Do not attempt to change it at this time, simply become aware of the stream.
Once you see the thoughts running through your mind, move your observation to include the thoughts, and how your body is reacting to them. Are there certain feelings that are attached to certain thoughts? Do certain thoughts give rise to certain desires that you feel in your body? What thoughts bring up the different emotions you feel during the day? Are there thoughts that are not allowing you to feel emotions?
The intention of this exercise is to simply become aware of the cause-effect relationship that thoughts create in your experience. The more you become aware of this relationship, and the more you stay in awareness of this relationship, the more you can tune your awareness into the Now.
To tune into the Now you simply must release the thought structure you have made and accept the thought structure that is Truth. To release the thought structure you have made you must be willing to accept the fact that you cannot know anything other than Truth.
This may seem obvious, yet, when you consider your own reluctance to disregard everything you think you know, you will face the fear that keeps you trapped in isolation and separation. Any attempt to validate to yourself what you think you know is an attempt to hold on to the thought structure you have made in place of the thought structure of Truth.
The moment of your freedom is before you Now, as it always has been and always will be. Your freedom lies in releasing your own insanity for the sanity of Truth.
